About the role and our team
Join our dynamic therapy team as a Band 3 Generic Therapy Assistant!
The role consists of supporting the qualified therapists (Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Dieticians) in the clinical field of surgical and orthopaedics.
Your duties will include completing treatment programs with patients, assisting in gym classes, mobilising patients on the ward and much more. You will be involved in many areas of service development which continually take place so we can provide the best care to our patients.
Your caseload will be based on the orthopaedic and surgical wards at Noble’s Hospital. You will also be expected to cover other service areas across the hospital depending on need. It is a great time to join the therapy team, which consists of Outpatient services (PT), Inpatient care (OT and PT) and Children's Therapy (SLT, OT and PT) who all work closely together across the different services and wider multidisciplinary teams.

You don’t need any qualifications for this role and you’ll receive comprehensive on the job training. We’re really keen to support development, and you will have access to all the great courses the Isle of Man Government offer, through LEAD, our Learning, Education and Development Service. You’ll also be supported to obtain the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care if not already attained.

A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is a requirement for this role. A uniform will also be provided.
A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
