Housing Services Co-ordinator
Formed in 2011, Halo Housing Association provides high quality housing and intensive housing management to vulnerable Tenants throughout the North West authorities of England.
Halo specialise in the provision of supported living accommodation to tenants with mental health issues. To support our growth strategy, Halo are introducing a new role of Housing Services Co-ordinator.
Reporting into the Head of Operations, the Housing Services Co-ordinator will be responsible for line management of a small team of Supported Housing and Revenue Services Officers. The focus for the role will be to provide an effective housing management service to meet the needs of the vulnerable people we support and the properties they live in. Responsibilities will include Tenancy Management, Compliance Checks, Fire Risk Assessments and Resident Involvement. Through collaborative and multi-agency working Tenants will be empowered to manage the Tenancy to the best of their ability. The role is essential in delivering effective services, supporting Tenants, and maximising income for the business.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have experience of working in the housing sector, specifically in the area of supported housing and will have a demonstrable ability to meet the needs of vulnerable Tenants in Supported Living Schemes and will ideally have line management experience.

* Health and Safety including actions to minimise Risk of Fire
* Debt Management/Income Collection
* Build and maintain strong and positive relationships with Stakeholders
* Void Property Management
* Driving Excellent Customer Care
Qualities/ essential requirements
* Experience of working for a Registered Provider/Housing Association
* Strong working knowledge of Housing Legislation.
* An understanding of Social Housing Regulation.
* Experience of dealing with Tenants in Supported Living
* An advanced knowledge of Landlord & Tenant Law
* A working knowledge of Housing Benefit Regulations
* Past experience of completing and supporting Supported Exempt Accommodation applications
* Self-motivated, performance driven with initiative to assess complex situations, make decisions quickly and effectively, and deliver excellent customer service
* Ability to communicate at all levels to create effective working relationships
* Ability to work independently and with colleagues to ensure delivery of individual performance individual and team objectives/KPI’s
* A willingness to undergo Training
* A flair and passion for supporting vulnerable Tenants
* Have a "can do" approach and accept responsibility
* A good working knowledge of the main Microsoft Office products
* The ability to drive and have a vehicle available to use for work purposes
Qualifications
* Educated to at least GCSE level in Maths and English
* Chartered Institute of Housing Qualification (desirable)
