Advanced Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship

We are excited to offer the opportunity for a full time Advanced Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship within the Healthy Child Programme based at Zachary Merton Hospital in Rustington, West Sussex.

The salary is £17,050.76 per annum (£8.72 per hour).

The post is for a fixed term of 18 months, and during that time you will gain valuable work experience and a recognised Level 3 qualification in Business Administration, equivalent to two A Levels.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9-5pm. As an apprentice, at least 20% of your contracted employment hours will be spent in 'off the job' training across your whole apprenticeship. 20% does not mean one day a week out of work: examples of 'off the job' training include teaching of theory and practical training. You and your manager will agree how to manage this prior to commencing an apprenticeship.

Essential requirements:

Good standard of general education to GCSE level (English and Maths at level 4/grade C or above) or equivalent
IT skills
Eligible to undertake an apprenticeship Individuals must demonstrate a commitment to self-development and achievement of the apprenticeship. During your period of training as an Apprentice Administrator you will be assigned practice and learning mentors who will support you in the role and guide you through the training programme. Progress will be monitored by maintenance of an apprenticeship portfolio containing evidence of records of attendance at training and regular meetings with your mentor and evidence of academic achievement.

The post holder will offer administrative support to the 0-5 Healthy Child Programme (Health visiting) teams, with a focus on adding value to enable the clinicians to focus on direct work with children and families. The role of HCP Administrator contributes to the efficiency of the service, through delivery of a range of administrative processes, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver their responsibilities efficiently and with integrity, showing a positive attitude. They should show initiative, managing their priorities and their own time, and demonstrate problem-solving skills and decision-making. The role involves demonstrating strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.
