About the Group Corporate Centre Group The Corporate Centre Group provides corporate systems, services, solutions and facilities to enable HM Treasury Group to deliver effectively and efficiently. It currently consists of 6 teams: Commercial; Correspondence and Information Rights; Finance; HR; Information and Workspace Services and Treasury Group Shared Services. We provide a vast array of services and solutions that enable the Treasury and its ALBs to operate effectively. It is a large group of over 150 staff – based in London and Norwich. It is a diverse group – both in terms of backgrounds and ways of working; and staff are supported to work a large variety of working patterns. About the Team The Human Resources team, comprising around 30 people, is currently delivering a wide-ranging change programme (Building a great Treasury) which has a focus on diversity and inclusion, improving management capability and skills, and supporting wellbeing. The team is diverse, comprising HR professionals and others with a background in Treasury policy work, which makes for a useful skills mix. We have a wide range of flexible working arrangements in place and support the development of staff through profession specific learning and development and apprenticeships. We work closely with senior stakeholders to make sure that our work genuinely supports and adds value, and the department has a genuinely collaborative culture. We have a shared services team based in Norwich, which provides transactional HR and finance support for the Treasury and its arms-length bodies, including managing the payroll and the relationship with our external provider. Key Accountabilities We are looking for two highly organised individuals who can work under their own initiative to join the Human Resources Group as a Business Administration Apprentice. We welcome applications from a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels and you will be supported in role by your Line Manager and Apprenticeship Tutor. As part of your role you will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with Babington and you must be eligible for apprenticeship funding as outlined in the ESFA guidelines (pg. 15-16). Your main roles and responsibilities will be to: 1. Support the Head of Branch and Team Leads in daily administrative tasks to support branch priorities. 2. Provide administrative support to the wider Human Resources teams. This includes, for example: a. Supporting the organisation / running of events e.g. Assessment Centres / Recruitment Campaigns; b. Preparing and, where necessary, sharing paperwork for meetings and other events; c. Organising meetings and attendee lists; d. Taking notes and action points at meetings. 3. Collate and present required information in a format that can be easily understood and analysed, to inform decision making. 4. Monitor shared inboxes and answer queries from Treasury staff and Line Managers, efficiently advising with relevant information, procedures and policies. 5. Maintain accurate records for team processes, for example learning and development programme administration and the allocation of staff to teams / roles. 6.
