ROLE OVERVIEW
Following the multi-million-pound investment into new bedrooms, a world-class spa, state-of-the-art health
St Michaels Resort is a 4-star luxury Resort situated in Falmouth and was awarded Large Hotel of the Year
at the Cornwall Tourism Awards in 2019-20. With sub-tropical gardens, award-winning spa, a state-of-the-
art Health Club and seafront location, it is clear to see why our guests visit us time and time again.

The Resort has undergone significant investment over the past two years and now requires an apprentice
to support the Finance Team.

In this exciting role, you will learn a range of Finance Team functions in a fast-paced Hospitality business.
This role provides support to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.

You will become an integral part of the Team structure and, in time, be responsible for your own tasks and
duties. You will gain invaluable experience across a wide range of tasks and learn new skills along the way.

Your main duties will include;
Accurately processing purchase invoices to the finance system
Matching Purchase Orders against invoices
Processing expenses
Reconciling credit cards
Reconciling bank accounts
Providing support with monthly payroll
Any ad-hoc tasks given by the Financial Controller

We will work closely with you to help your skills develop, enabling you to carry out the full range of
tasks above, though a full appreciation of all of these tasks will not expected from day one, and full
training will be provided.

REQUIREMENTS
Capability, Knowledge & Experience
Experience in Finance is preferred but not essential
Experience with Excel is preferred but not essential
Experience in Hospitality is preferred, this does not have to be in a Finance role
Highly numerate with good communication skills, both verbal and written

Education & Qualifications
ATT Level 3 would be preferable
The applicant should have a Maths and English GCSE as a minimum

Have a flexible working ethic as the role may include working at weekends. Must be available to
work over the Christmas and New Year period including the Bank Holidays
