We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Charging for Care Services Team. You will need to have a background in customer service and finance, be confident yet compassionate, be well organised, self-motivated, able to remain calm under pressure, have excellent written and verbal skills and be fluent in English as the role includes a high degree of communication with our customers on the telephone. The main responsibilities of the team are to undertake means tested financial assessments for vulnerable adults in Devon who are in need of an Adult Social Care Service, to determine how much a person is required to pay towards the cost of the care and support they receive, and all associated billing and recovery of debt accrued through non-payment. We work in a very busy and demanding environment with ever changing priorities which you must be able to adapt to whilst maintaining a high standard of customer service and attention to detail. This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
